EDUKASI DETEKSI DINI TANDA BAHAYA KEGAWATDARURATAN IBU DAN BAYI PADA MAHASISWA D3 KEBIDANAN STIKES GRIYA HUSADA SUMBAWA

Abstract

Maternal and infant mortality rates in Indonesia are still quite high. Maternal emergencies can occur at any time during pregnancy, childbirth is a puerperium. The causes of maternal death are complex, but direct causes such as toxemia gravidarum, bleeding, and infection should be treated immediately by health professionals. Neonatal emergencies require deep knowledge of psychological changes and life-threatening pathological conditions that can arise at any time. With appropriate antenatal care, the majority of cases can be detected early. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of midwifery students about early detection of danger signs in mothers and babies. The implementation of the activity included the stages of the lecture process, demonstrations and questions and answers to 34 students of D3 Midwifery STIKES Griya Husada Sumbawa. With this activity, it is hoped that it can hone the skills of students involved in service activities and help in reducing MMR and AKB if students have been adequately equipped with the danger signs of mothers and babies.
